Saturday, September 16th was a very special day for my grandson, Michael. While he turned seven on September 1st this year, his party was scheduled for the Imaginarium on Solomon’s Island last Saturday. He had nineteen children to help him celebrate and play at the awesome indoor playroom. This included his cousins and friends from school.
Michael brought Nerf guns and darts and the children had a lot of fun hiding on the pirate ship, in the firehouse, and on the RV with a complete kitchen set up. They all got plenty of indoor exercise running back and forth chasing each other and playing with all the cool things the Imaginarium had to offer. There were huge foam blocks for stacking , a racing car to climb on and a house with a porch to go inside.
After working up their appetites, the children were treated to pizza, popcorn from a popcorn machine, and drinks. They all sang , “Happy Birthday,” to Michael and then enjoyed the funfetti cupcakes.
Each child was thrilled to make slime as the craft for the party and there were many different shades of colored slime that they made individually. The slime was put into plastic jars, labelled with each child’s name. The two hours flew by and as they left, Michael gave each child a party bag to bring home.
The fun continued at my home as Michael, his Mom, Marianne and Dad, James returned as well as his Uncle John, Aunt Gigi, cousins Nora and Hannah, and Aunt Katie, Uncle Dan, Ellie, Tommy and Uncle Mike. We all had Cafe Rio chicken for dinner and the cousins played for a few more hours with Michael until they left for their homes. It was a very enjoyable day, watching the grandchildren and Michael’s school friends having such a great time.

That must have been such an enjoyable day for you, Suzanne! Having all your family there. It was good that the party itself was outside of the house, where they all could play. Imaginarium sounds like a great place! Solomon’s Island is near you then? I have been hearing a lot about that island lately.
